JLL Helps Shangcheng District Bureau of Commerce Complete Underground Commercial Space

Hangzhou Metro Line 7. During the service period, JLL helped the District Bureau to identify project development difficulties and commercial orientation in the early stage of the project through big data analysis and special research on dozens of successful underground space development cases at home and abroad. This work was to lay a solid foundation for specific implementation in the later stages of the project.

The underground commercial space of Wushan Square connects the Wushan Road Station of Metro Line 7 with the Ding'an Road Station of Metro Line 1 over a kilometer away. It is the core project of the Shangcheng District underground space section of Yan'an Road in Hangzhou. The Shangcheng District Bureau of Commerce hoped to clarify the commercial orientation in the early stage of the project through the intervention of professional consulting companies. They saw this project as an opportunity to inject vitality into the oldest business district in Hangzhou and realize the organic renewal of the Wushan area. Through a combination of sources such as big data and market research, JLL's Strategic Consulting team surveyed the overall business landscape of Wushan business district, and systematically proposed a number of suggestions for revitalizing the area. At the same time, by bringing in special research, it put forward constructive opinions on the difficulty of underground commercial developments to ensure strong practical measures in the design and construction stage of future projects.

In the two reports, the plan was highly praised by the Shangcheng District Bureau of Commerce and the government leaders of Shangcheng District, with those involved at all levels fully affirming the professionalism shown by JLL.
