JLL Assists Shopee Expansion by 12,000 m²

Founded in 2015, Shopee is the largest and fastest-growing e-commerce platform in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, with offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Due to the explosive business growth in Shenzhen and after several expansions, Shopee once again launched a relocation plan in the second half of 2017 to meet the needs of office space for the next five years.

Appointed as the tenant representative, JLL developed a customized office relocation plan according to detailed market research and rigorous evaluation. The property screening was tally with Shopee’s manpower growth plan, requirements for software & hardware of future office and operating cost plan.

Through close and effective communication and cooperation, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the local market, JLL facilitated Shopee's lease of approximately 12,000 m² of office space in the Dashi Tower. The building is located in the Science and Technology Park area, a focal point for high-tech enterprises with abundant technology, information and talent resources. Besides, the building enjoys convenient transportation, comprehensive facilities, and intelligent property management that completely met Shopee’s expectation.
