JLL Assists ByteDance Expand Chinese First-Tier City and Overseas Footprint

Established in March 2012, ByteDance is one of the first companies to apply large-scale artificial intelligence technology to information feeds. Toutiao is ByteDance’s core product and is well known on the Chinese market. With the rise of products such as Xigua Video, Douyin Short Video App, and Wukong Q&A, ByteDance has already diversified its products in fields such as graphics, short video, and knowledge sharing, which makes it the leader among the unicorn companies.

The cooperation between JLL and ByteDance dates back to 2015 and so far it has achieved a number of successes. The area for this service project is now over 70,000 sqm, reaching from Beijing at the center out across China and the globe. In 2015, JLL was appointed to provide full property management services for ByteDance in AVIC Plaza. In 2016, a close cooperation led to successful cases in Beijing China SatcomBuilding and Shanghai Xuhui Vanke Centre. In 2017, with the continuous expansion of the ByteDance business, the demand for office leasing surged, and JLL was once again appointed to provide leasing services for ByteDance in Chinese first-tier cities and overseas.
