JLL’s new Shanghai office is located in the HKRI Centre One, HKRI Taikoo Hui and covers an area of 4,812 square meters over two floors. From the initial site selection and renovation to the current facility management, all work has been carried out by teams within JLL. As a pioneer in the industry, from the point of initial project design JLL aimed to create a space that was fully reflective of its “Future of Work” concept, and also plans to apply for WELL and LEED building certifications.

With this aim in mind, JLL set up a professional project team from the very beginning of the project. After site selection, it evaluated all aspects of the office space and studied in detail how to optimize functionality to achieve its Future of Work vision. In order to obtain certification from international authorities, the project used "Healthy and Happy Living" as the primary design concept. It ensured that all features in areas such as design, energy consumption, facilities, and materials strictly complied with the latest V4 standard platinum-level certification standard of the LEED commercial indoor environmental rating system, in addition to the WELL Building Standard Platinum Certification Standard.

With its prime location on Nanjing West Road in Jing'an District, not only has JLL’s become the healthiest office in Asia, but it has also become the first in the Asia Pacific region and the third in the world to receive WELL Building Standard™ Platinum certification. It is also full of intelligent high-tech features which further enhance employee and customer experience and strengthen JLL's leading position in real estate technology.

"JLL’s Shanghai project is the first WELL project in the Asia Pacific region to achieve Platinum certification, proving to the world that WELL is achievable at the highest level in China," said Rick Fedrizzi, Chairman and CEO of International WELL Building Institute, in his congratulatory remarks upon the certification of the project. "Through this project, JLL is living its ‘Achieve Ambitions’ mission, demonstrating its leadership in promoting healthy building practice through putting employees' health and wellbeing at the center of decision making when investing in workplace enhancements."
