JLL Assists Volkswagen Group China to Relocate Headquarters

Volkswagen Group entered the Chinese market in 1984, and currently owns 14 businesses across the country. JLL has a long-term partnership with Volkswagen Group and has provided it with several services since 2007. The support provided by the JLL Beijing Markets team in assisting with the Volkswagen Group China headquarters relocation was a result of three and a half years of team members' comprehensive analysis of the client's needs and the office market.

From 2015, JLL conducted in-depth analysis on the driving force and rental needs of Volkswagen's business, identified and evaluated appropriate solutions, and provided the client with a customized headquarters relocation plan. In March 2018, as the tenantrepresentative, JLL assisted Volkswagen China in inking an en-bloc leasing deal that covers over 53,000 sqm in ZRT Plaza located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The signing represents a milestone in the partnership between JLL and Volkswagen Group China.

The successful completion of this project is not only the result of the hard work of the Markets team, but also the support and assistance of several teamssuch as PDS andIFM, which perfectly defines JLL’s management philosophy - “One JLL”. Both Volkswagen Group China and the landlord greatly appreciated the professional one-stop service provided by JLL. The dedicated and experienced Beijing Tenant Representation team will continue to conduct property searches and market research, locating ideal back-up venues, handling lease agreement and commercial terms negotiations, and negotiating the best contracts on behalf of the client.
