JLL announces new leadership for East China

Shanghai, December 8, 2020 – JLL has appointed Anny Zhang to succeed Eddie Ng as the incoming Managing Director for East China, effective 1 January 2021. In addition to her current responsibility as Head of Office Leasing for China, Anny will oversee JLL’s East China’s business operations and be responsible for developing the firm’s strategic direction and business priority in the region.

Anny joined the firm in 2007 and has grown into a competent leader over the years. She has been leading JLL’s office leasing business in Shanghai since 2015 and achieved tremendous business results and industry recognition supported by a team of over 60 leasing professionals. Anny was promoted to the head of office leasing for China in 2019 and since then, has worked closely with office leasing teams of over 240 specialists across the country and other respective business leaders, to drive JLL’s strong and leading office leasing business across China.

Over the past three years, Anny and her team have completed a total of 4,300 office leasing transactions with over 5 million sqm in key markets across China. Under her leadership, JLL’s Office Leasing team is the first and only company to have clinched the RICS China "Best Deal of the Year" Award for past three consecutive years.

Meanwhile, Eddie Ng, the current Managing Director for JLL East China has decided to pursue a new career aspiration, after 25 successful years with the firm. Eddie joined JLL Hong Kong in 1996 and led the team to expand the company’s footprint in China serving as Managing Director for West China (since 2005), and for East China (since 2016). Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the growth of JLL in Greater China. Eddie has also been pioneering and driving JLL’s proptech initiatives and digital transformation across the country.
