Pharmaceutical Giant Establishes Western China Operating Platform

JLL’s Chengdu Markets department was named as the exclusive agency for Sanofi's site selection in Chengdu, and successfully assisted with finding a suitable location for the project.

As a leading global pharmaceutical company, Sanofi attaches great importance to patient needs and is committed to researching, developing, manufacturing, and promoting innovative treatment options. In 1982, Sanofi opened an office in China and became one of the first multinational pharmaceutical companies to enter the country. With approximately 9,000 employees in China, it is currently one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in the domestic market

In 2017, Sanofi signed a significant strategic investment cooperation agreement with the Chengdu government, planning to establish a new Western China regional operating platform in the city, with the aim of increasing the scale of its operations in the city. JLL’s Chengdu Markets department was named as the exclusive agency for Sanofi's site selection in Chengdu, and successfully assisted with finding a suitable location for the project.

During the service period we maintained clear communication, analyzed the client’s requirements, and provided a full range of site rental solutions which took into consideration the existing office’s status and the company’s expansion plans. This ensured a smooth transition from the client’s existing office to the newly-leased property. In the end, JLL assisted Sanofi to successfully lease the landmark project of the Southern High-Tech District - Chengdu Yintai Center

Supporting Sanofi to complete the establishment of its new Western China operating platform is a clear example of the outstanding professionalism of JLL's globalized customer service. With its strong global resources and in-depth research of the local market, JLL will continue to provide high-quality services as it faces future challenges in its ultimate goal of helping each client achieve their ambitions.
