Client story

Be a leader with LEED

Aiming big for a big building

The owners of Premium Grade A office building in Shanghai wanted to make their workspace a shining example of one of the most environmentally-friendly buildings in Shanghai’s Lujiazui business district. The impressive infrastructure of the property has 33 floors above ground, 4 levels underground, with the total construction area of 70,000 square meters. The performance of the building was of prime concern to its owners.

Creating Roadmap to sustainability

The client was determined to get LEED v4 EBOM certification, a globally recognized standard for a building’s sustainability achievement. Leading the industry by stepping up from LEED Gold to LEED Platinum was their goal. We helped them in meeting their target by improving the building’s performance.

Collaborating with the client’s project team, we put in place a system to monitor energy and water consumption in the building. Together, we identified opportunities, such as improving the metering system, and prepared a roadmap for green operational measures with defined targets. We represented the client in the LEED application process as well.

Nothing less than Platinum

The partnership resulted in enhancing the building’s performance and ensuring standardized reduction in energy and water consumption. The efforts led to the building winning LEED v4 EBOM Platinum Certification. By implementing green measures, the property has secured long-term benefits to their business.
