JLL and Jupiter Intelligence Expand Collaboration to Transform Real Estate with Unprecedented Climate Intelligence
CHICAGO, Sept. 18, 2025 – JLL (NYSE: JLL) today announced it is expanding a strategic collaboration with Jupiter Intelligence to integrate climate analytics capabilities into its Risk Advisory platform. This upgraded platform addresses a growing demand as property owners, investors and lenders continue to recognize the impacts of climate risks on financial returns across their portfolios.
By combining Jupiter Intelligence’s climate modeling with JLL’s real estate expertise and proprietary data, the platform delivers comprehensive analysis of what climate risks exist and how these risks specifically affect portfolio value and asset marketability. Users can depend on the platform to identify climate threats – such as floods, wildfires, extreme heat and storms – and quantify impacts on property values, rental income and market demand in financial terms. The platform’s strategic planning tools also provide clear, actionable recommendations for risk mitigation, portfolio optimization and investment timing.
"Climate change isn't just an environmental issue – it's a business reality that affects property values, insurance costs and investment returns," said Tyrone Hodge, Head of Risk Advisory at JLL. "Our platform gives real estate professionals the clarity they need to protect and grow their investments while building more resilient portfolios."
Early users of the platform have seen measurable benefits. A major international bank identified $50 million in climate-related portfolio risks, enabling proactive protection of asset values. A private equity fund used the platform during due diligence to avoid problematic acquisitions while identifying climate-resilient opportunities worth over €200 million.
“This enhanced collaboration with JLL represents a critical step forward in treating climate risk like capital risk,” said Rich Sorkin, CEO and co-founder of Jupiter Intelligence. “By integrating our decision-grade analytics directly into JLL's Risk Advisory platform, we're enabling real estate professionals to quantify physical climate risks with the same rigor they apply to market and credit risk — translating exposure into resilience strategy and measurable outcomes.”
The platform covers properties worldwide, analyzes multiple climate scenarios and draws on JLL's database of millions of transactions to deliver projections ranging from 2030 to 2100. With intuitive dashboards that present complex information clearly, the platform allows users to quickly assess individual properties or entire portfolios.
"Climate risk assessment is becoming increasingly critical for real estate decision-making, and our enhanced collaboration with Jupiter Intelligence represents a significant advancement in how we deliver actionable insights to our clients," Jaime del Alamo, Head ESG & Risk, Americas, at JLL. "By combining Jupiter's world-class climate science with our extensive real estate data platform and AI capabilities, we're providing the market with unprecedented visibility into how physical climate risks translate into measurable financial impacts."
