Projects Edit: Future-ready spaces
The world is changing faster than the spaces built to support it. Across cities, campuses, offices and institutions, much of the built environment no longer reflects how people work, learn and connect. At the same time, organizations are balancing rising energy costs and tightening regulations with growing expectations for employee experience and portfolio resilience.
For years, JLL has studied how these forces reshape demand for space and where real opportunities exist. This project book brings that work together, pairing research insights with built examples that explore what it takes to create spaces that are fit for what comes next.
We define future-ready space in three essential ways:
- Reimagined: Transforming existing buildings through targeted reinvention, extending relevance and uncovering new value from what already stands.
- Experiential: Shaping environments around human experience, where space actively supports focus, connection and culture.
- Intelligent: Harnessing data and technology to help buildings learn, adapt and perform more effectively over time.
Throughout the book, photography-led case studies bring each of these defining characteristics into focus. From human-focused workplaces to a modern university campus, and from an interactive retail showroom to an award-winning historic hotel, we reveal what future-ready space looks like when insight meets imagination.
