Jones Lang LaSalle Announces International Director Promotions

Two colleagues based in China were among promotees for outstanding contributions to global firm

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (NYSE:JLL), the leading integrated financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate, has named 28 colleagues across the world at Jones Lang LaSalle and LaSalle Investment Management to International Director, the firm’s top leadership group. International Directors are recognized for driving the firm’s growth, delivering exceptional results to clients, demonstrating Jones Lang LaSalle’s values, and providing leadership to the Firm’s people and teams. Two colleagues based in China, Julien Zhang and Ian Bottrell, have attained recognition as International Directors.

Colin Dyer, Chief Executive Officer of Jones Lang LaSalle, said, “Our International Directors have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to collaboration and teamwork, and have made major contributions to our clients and the growth of our company. We look to each of them to continue to deliver real value to our clients and shareholders in the coming years.”

Since joining Jones Lang LaSalle 15 years ago, Julien has worked in China, Australia and San Francisco, and currently leads a team of almost 200 professionals.  As Beijing’s Managing Director, he sets the direction and drives growth strategies for the Firm’s local operations.  Julien proved the merit of his leadership as he led the Firm to win key business projects even during the 2009 financial recession. Julien also heads Jones Lang LaSalle’s Beijing Markets division, developing commercial office strategies and implementing solutions for both investors and corporate clients in Beijing and other North China cities.  He currently serves on the Firm’s Greater China leadership committee.

“In 2009, Julien became the Managing Director for Beijing, and today, his International Directorship reinforces his outstanding contributions to the Firm,” says KK Fung, Greater China Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle. “China is an important strategic focus, and with Julien’s extensive experience, we believe he will add a greater understanding of the key opportunities to our local business and domestic client-base.”
Ian Bottrell, Head of Integrated Facilities Management, North Asia, joined the firm in 2001 and moved to Shanghai earlier this year from the Australian office where he led the highly successful Australian Property & Asset Management business.  As Head of Integrated Facilities Management, he is responsible for providing facilities management solutions to corporate clients across North Asia including Greater China, Japan and South Korea.
