Accelerating Towards A New Beijing
Since winning the Olympic Games bid in 2001, Beijing’s economy has grown at an impressive average of 14.5% per annum, and in 2007 and 2008, the city’s international quality property market is undergoing a substantial expansion and transformation. How much of this growth in Beijing can be attributed to the Olympic Games and will there be any post-Games slowdown? This paper explores these issues and highlights how Beijing has transformed building up to this momentous event.
